Joseph and Paulose is a law firm that was floated in Kottayam by two senior lawyers, Advocates K.G. Joseph and C. Paulose in 1972. The firm was formed with a view to render reliable and consistent legal services to the public, with emphasis on team work. The firm quickly gained acceptance within the local community and initially focussed on issues pertaining to banking, commercial transactions and immovable property. Advocate C.Paulose suddenly passed away in 1975 and soon after Advocate P.C. Abraham became a partner of the firm.
Advocate P.C. Abraham gave a new dimension to the firm and expanded its operations to corporate, labour and media segments as well. The firm at that juncture spread its
operations to other Districts in Kerala also. The firm thereafter grew from strength to strength maintaining a consistent manner of operation.
In 1989 Advocate K.J. Kurian became a partner of the firm and in the year 2000, Advocate K.G. Joseph retired. Later Advocate Boby George Kurian son of Advocate K.J Kurian as well as Advocate Abraham George Jacob son of Advocate P.C. Abraham became partners of the firm. Advocate P.C. Abraham, under whose leadership the firm flourished, ably led the firm till his demise in 2012.
The firm currently continues its operations with Advocates K.J. Kurian, Boby George Kurian and Abraham George Jacob as its partners. While Advocates K.J. Kurian and Boby George
Kurian focus on matters before District Courts, Advocate Abraham George Jacob dedicates more time to matters before appellate forums, tribunals and the High Court of Kerala at
Ernakulam. Advocates Mathew George Thelly, Anoop Varghese, M.M Mathew, A.T. Thomas and Renjini Chacko also form an integral part of the firm.
Joseph and Paulose is a firm that has been built on sound foundations of legal ethics and professionalism. The strength of the firm lies in its deep ties to the culture of Kerala and
the clients of the firm have always appreciated the reliability and quality of the services rendered by the firm.
